Margaritaville DM900 Battery-Powered Frozen-Concoction Maker
In search of a good 12 volt blender to the boat (there are none), I will come to Margarita Ville Explorer. While more than I would use, it has lived up to expectations.
Just pour in the mixture, 1 to 3 drinks in the image add the ice up there, turn the knob to the number of drinks you want and press the button. It does the rest for you. A perfectly blended Margarita.
This machine is high, but not a lot higher than any other quality blender.
Also, if you do not put enough mix to blender / mixer not cut back on the ice at the top, you need a spoon to mix it. This is not a problem if you mix thoroughly.
I've done seven pitchers over four days so far without charge and it is equally strong in the seventh jar as the 1st.
For the price should have included the extra bag.
Enjoy restaurant-quality frozen concoctions from the comfort of home and then, thanks to this easy to use, drink-making machine. The unit offers the same reliable performance as plug-in models, but with free wireless operation - take it to the beach, out on the boat to a tailgating party or a picnic in the park. Equipped with a 18-volt Ni-Cd battery gives the device enough power to mix up to 80 drinks on a single charge. Fill the container with ice, pour ingredients into bowl and press the "start" button. Far more than just a regular blender, the unit has pre-programmed settings automatically Shave Ice and complete mixing of up to 36 grams at a time. Whether it's the margaritas, mudslides, daiquiris or fruit smoothies, mixing machine ingredients for slush perfection - no lost pieces of ice or diluted disappointments. Other highlights include front, powerful DC shaving and hybrid engines, durable construction with a premium graphite finish, a stable base and a translucent bowl with a generous hand. The battery-powered frozen concoction manufacturer measures about 15 by 10 by 21 inches.
Margaritaville DM3000 Tahiti Frozen Concoction Maker
Ok, so like almost everyone reading this review ... My first thought was "Why should I pay so much money for a hyped up the blender!" I can sum it up in two words ... snowball fight!
But seriously I took the plunge and are not sorry that I did. This makes a great addition to any party, whether it's a couple of friends or a crowd. And no one walking around chewing on ice chips from their blender drinks! My kids love the shaved ice to play with, and it makes a big snowcones / slushies.
Installation is simple, is easy to clean (seriously), is the only problem that I have found so far to create recipes for cocktails. It comes with some standards ... but I like to play!
Originally wanted my wife to get a professional manufacturer, but we found they were thousands of dollars. After buying DM3000, could we do not care professional model anymore ... This makes three different drinks in a bike that is fun to watch and easier to maintain! It's quick and easy, especially if you mix your drink ingredients and have them on standby.
In my opinion if you have extra money to spare, and you like to have friends over or have children, this is a great product!

Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker
First, I would rate it a 3.5
I bought this item because I was tired of low quality drink mixer ... I bought FIJI because it was the newest model out. It has a great Ice holder and different settings for margaritas, daquiries, mudslides and smoothies.
The machine is powerful and seemingly high quality. I feel it will last long. It takes some practice to get your prescription properly. Maybe it's just me, but I can not separate the beverages from four different settings. A drink in mudslides option has the consistency of a Margarita .... and etc. So I felt it was a waste for me. With the larger Ice Hopper thats nice, but easily accessible to the Key West version. I would rather have extra mixing jars because they are small and what I go through the most. In Key West seems to have the best matching ice reservoir for mixing jar. It drops through the water Catcher's nice ... but very difficult to clean. Its too narrow to wash by hand, use a long handled one (minor inconvenience I guess.)
Performance is nice. Its powerful and ice shaver works well. very good / But it's also extremely difficult to clean ... If it comes out to clean, I can not figure out my ... so it's basically just stick a cloth, it is to replace the melted ice cream, and hand picking out left-over ice. Its tricky to support and the big chainring can get you.
In addition, probably the most fustrating thing is the ice hopper not line up neatly with the mixing container is opened. Its like if a 1 / 4 inch, but just enough liquid to come out when the machine fires up. I was told I had too much fluid, but it does not matter how much fluid I have in it. I have now put a lid on the mixing tube at an angle, so it is flush with the funnel, but it leaves a leaky on the glass, and full-service mix that is to come out on the side of the lid.
Its also a great device. We do not save sets on our desk (actually usually fit under the counter wit ice jump on it) and we were limited on this unit would fit in our pantry ... But it is good, we made room. When mixing the ice is only nice feature, so you can really make a nice slushy drink for yourself or children if you wish. I basically just use ice only and blend only the buttons now, since the programmed settings either don? T Add enough ice to our taste, or mix it up too much. In no waste mix jar is not really any spillage. It has a spout, but the glass is thick (quality), and it leads to drip down side when pouring. I would like to see them invent a high quality pot mixed with a spout for pouring (as seen on the cheap mixer) ... Now would be the last big move they would need to add.
I wish I had Key West to save money, but live and learn. It is a solid and decent looking machine that seems durable years of use. I can live with its shortcomings, operational, but every time I make a drink I can not get past the fact that the mixing jar does not line up perfectly with the ice hopper. I called the manufacturer and they said it really does not line up .... It would be my clue to fix it, or not add it to the market at almost $ 400.
Worth $ 400 ... NO ... $ 300 ... NO ... $ 200 ... sure, because of its powerful motor and long life. If you do not use it often it is not worth it. The lower prices version of less than $ 200 would be perfect. But when you use it often, you can justify a higher price. What else is out there anyway?
Margaritaville DM0500 Bahamas 36-Ounce Frozen-Concoction Maker
I downloaded the DM0500 model after extensive shopping around for one of the Margaritaville blender. This is not as much ice as the others, but it has enough for a pot worth of drinks. It's not the fancy buttons that the other describing the "landslide", "Daiquiri" or "Margaritaville" (I've heard that there is little difference between these options.)
It's the biggest difference between this model and the others. It had the standard straight single / mix just switch and a starter (more on that later).
The mixer itself is very nice it has some great artistic accents just behind the pitcher on the machine is a metal engraving of a palm tree and a sea plane. The design is simple and it works right out of the box. All you have to do is attach the ice hopper and you're done.
Some of the negative is that the metal ice chute (that's what I call it) switch up and down so it fits perfectly and tightly to the pitcher, which is nice except it does not seem that it is extremely robust, but it has not broken yet so I guess I must report that if it does.
The Start button is nice, makes it a drink in the consistency of a smoothie from Smoothie King. I liked it a lot. The ice hopper chops ice like a dream, and the seal at the top of the fantastic. I've noticed some people complained that it is wasted, and I have had no such problems.
I would highly recommend this model over the others because it is affordable and great deals.
Margaritaville DM1000 Frozen Concoction Maker
I clearly remember making fun of the Margaritaville Frozen concoction maker when I first saw it advertised in the Front Gate directory. ("Who will buy a $ 300 blender on steroids!? Hah-hah-hah ...") Imagine my horror when my wife announced that she wanted for her birthday. It seems as if "it" should "I".
The vast majority of positive reviews on Amazon calmed my fears a bit and I ordered one. As usual, Amazon delivered quickly and it was unpacked and setup in minutes.
Exactly true to its claims, it actually makes perfect consistency margaritas and any other frozen drinks you can imagine. I think I like it more than my wife. It has a "power tool" vibe that guys appreciate. Spinning blades and high speed. What can go wrong?
There are a few things / tips to be aware of:
1) It is BIG. It just barely clears the front of our kitchen cabinets and is too high to go under them. Pretty heavy lifting on a high shelf as well.
2) It makes a more consistent work to make a "full" pitcher than just a drink. Having a lot of ice in the funnel works best, put a glass filled with ice becomes too watery if you use the automatic cycle. To compensate for a single drink I keep manually "shave off" switch for ~ 4-5 seconds before the automatic mixing cycle. Works well.
3) The shaved ice melts faster than cubes when it hits the glass, so I've gone to glaze pitcher to keep the glass cool (or at least fill it with cold water for a few seconds) before adding the liquid ingredients. Unlike plastic jugs of commercial drink makers, glass (thick glass on it) can transfer a lot of heat. Popping it straight out of a hot dishwasher at the booth will give you a mighty power margarita.
4) Although the "dishwasher" the cover of our pitch was a funny mottled brown / green color after a cycle in the wash. Not sure if it was the heat or detergent or anything, but after that it was a little crazy, and generally "weird". A call to 800 customer service number yielded a free replacement, which we just now easing.
All in all, it works as advertised and is a real crowd pleaser at parties. A good gizmo.
